May 16, 2005: Its Time To End The RSS vs Email Debate As someone who tries to stay updated on the cutting edge of technology available to us marketers, I try to ensure that my marketing arsenal uses all the latest and most effective tools available to us. So I find this entire debate of whether we should use RSS OR Email very tiresome. March 29, 2005: How To Avoid Blog Burnout Why do I love the beach so much? Because all of us need to take some time away from our business. I admit that's hard to do for a workaholic like me, but I make an effort every once in a while to get away and unwind. Very good for body and soul. :-) And today's article (actually a blog post that I wrote up into an article) is especially for you if you're addicted to your blogs. But it has tips for anyone involved in internet business as well. February 19, 2005: How To Skyrocket Your Adsense Revenue I've been building new sites to boost my Adsense profits this month, but it'll take a while for them to build traffic and start pulling in the moolah.
Most of my revenue increase this month is actually just the result of improved Adsense placement and some (long overdue) re-optimization and tweaking to my sites.
January 23, 2005: Do You Really Need A Blog? Now that those infernal exams are over and done with, I've
got a little breathing space at last, so is it back to
partying for me?
Not exactly ;-)
More like back to my blogging, and stuff I really missed
doing.
Of course, fun is never far behind on the agenda. So I'll
be taking a little weekend trip to a beach in Goa in the
first week of February.
Bumming out on the beach is just what I'm looking forward
to. But workaholic that I am, I also intend to use the
occasion to write more stuff for my www.goa-beach.com
website.
On the other hand I might just end up having too much fun
to write anything coherent ;-)
But I do have lots of plans for this month, which include
adding lots of new content to my sites, starting new blogs
and websites, and increasing my Adsense earnings.
December 23, 2004: Good JV, Bad JV... This is probably the last newsletter I'll send out in 2004.
My friend, Vipin Arumugham, an award-winning creative designer has created a beautiful Christmas greeting card that will give your desktop a Christmassy touch. Look out for some more goodies at the end of this newsletter :)
But first, before I take a break for the holidays, I want to share with you this well-written, heart-felt article by my friend, S. Kumar, about a disturbing trend seen in joint ventures online.
December 09, 2004: This Is Not A Newsletter I know, I know... I'm supposed to be cramming for a PR (that's Public Relations, not Pagerank ;) paper now. But being the workaholic I am, its so hard to stay away from my PC, and what I love doing best - publishing. :) So this is not really a newsletter, just the ravings of an internet marketing lunatic ;) November 12, 2004: Peace, Happiness and Digicams I knew my life had taken its final jump into the virtual world
when my husband and 5-year old daughter were drawing a
picture of a mouse a few days ago. He drew a "real" mouse,
tail and all. She, on the other hand, drew a computer mouse,
and promptly declared, "My mouse is better than yours." Are
we spending too much time online, I wondered? October 10, 2004: Donald Trump and the 21 Giant Lies About Success Having been brought up all my life to be a "nice, pleasant,
polite" person, I find it hard... REALLY hard... to be
otherwise. Unless, of course, someone REALLY gets on my
nerves. In which case I usually leave them wishing they'd
never met me ;) Why am I telling you this? Because I have
learned, from years of experience... of being nice, polite and
pleasant... one HARD LESSON... Nice doesn't pay! September 14, 2004: Aren't You Just Sick of All The Hype? It's been a really busy month for me. I decided to further my
marketing education by joining a diploma course in
Advertising. Although it only takes up a few hours in the
evenings, it does leave me with much less time for my online
business. But I'm having so much fun... brushing up on my
(real-world) marketing knowledge, interacting with some really
great professors, doing case-studies, projects and making
friends with people ten years younger than me. :-) We all
reach a point at which we need to put more effort into learning
new things to grow our business or run the risk of stagnating. August 09, 2004: How To Get To The Top Of The Marketing Food Chain This newsletter has become rather infrequent because I have
gone back to blogging as a way of publishing more frequent
updates. However, I still plan to continue it so I can keep in
touch with you. I'm going to give you a URL that I usually
reserve only for my customers who purchased "Number One
In Your Niche" Its my blog where I publish search engine tips
and updates, and since its already listed on the search
engines, I thought you should be able to read it too.
