BATESBURG-LEESVILLE — The last time Charles Hartley walked into a football stadium in his hometown, he didn’t need a cane. USC artist colorizes Taiwan YINGGE, TAIWAN — Late last week, artist and USC professor Virginia Scotchie, two of her students and an engineer who had been recruited as translator and general fixer found themselves standing in a few inches of water washing the dust off 77 ceramic spheres.These globes placed throughout a pool make up “Floating Spheres of Continuity,” the centerpiece of a new sculpture park at the Taipei County Yingge Ceramics Museum. Scotchie created the work during the past six months, with her students Bradford Davis and Beth Gass.
